MY PRIORITY ISSUES

EDUCATION

As a former teacher, I’ve long valued education as a key to success. I believe that every
child, in every town in Illinois, deserve access to a quality public K-12 education and access to
affordable college. I will ensure that the next generation has access to a quality education and
the tools to drive our economy forward in a global marketplace that grows increasingly more
competitive.

HOUSING

Rising costs in rent are no longer a problem for just major cities – it impacts every
community in America. Housing that was once affordable has become more expensive and
housing supply is more limited than ever before. As your Representative, I will advocate for an
increase in housing construction and development, and work to strengthen tenant protections.

HEALTHCARE

I believe that fundamental healthcare is a right for all and not a privilege for just a handful.
If elected, I will fight to make it easier and more affordable for you to go to the doctor and have
access to safe and affordable medication. I will also support legislation that increases funding
for mental health and substance abuse resources and treatment for our communities.
Furthermore, I am committed to protecting and advancing women’s reproductive rights and
the right to choose

JOBS

We deserve an economy that works for everyone – not just the wealthy or the well
connected. Everyone in Illinois wants a strong economy with good paying jobs. I will work to
bring back manufacturing jobs and advocate for raising wages to combat the effects of inflation
and increases in the cost of living. I will fight for expanding workers’ rights, strengthening our
unions, and support common sense work-family policies such as paid sick leave or family leave.
