Azam Nizamuddin grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and is a lawyer, a former college professor, and a small business owner, a husband and father and tireless advocate for working families and for people in need.

As an attorney and teacher, I’ve been solving problems for working families my entire adult life. For too long, politicians have played games with our schools, our state budget, and sought support from special interest groups while ignoring real problems in the State.  Our communities and neighborhoods need a new generation of empathetic leaders in Springfield to fight for working families and to represent our values.
